SALES REPRESENTATIVE GERMAN-SPEAKING SWITZERLAND – HORECA AND SPECIALIST RETAIL

AVY is looking for a field-based sales professional who can build lasting relationships of trust and represent Vaud wines with conviction — wines that combine tradition, quality and modernity.

About AVY

Founded in 1902, AVY, Artisans Vignerons d'Yvorne, is a winegrowers' cooperative that innovates, adapts and produces exceptional Vaud wines while preserving its natural heritage. Our team vinifies and markets the production of the cooperative's 120 members, mainly under the prestigious Yvorne Chablais AOC appellation.

Combining tradition and modernity, AVY showcases a unique mosaic of terroirs and produces a broad range of wines — Chasselas, red wines, white specialities and contemporary creations — whose quality is regularly recognised and awarded.

Your Mission

AVY is already present in German-speaking Switzerland and wishes to strengthen its commercial development among HORECA professionals and specialist retailers, two segments that still offer significant growth potential. Your mission will be to open new accounts, build lasting relationships and further develop the presence of AVY wines in a demanding, dynamic and evolving market.

Beyond sales, you will play an advisory role with customers: understanding their positioning, proposing relevant assortments, supporting the resale of our wines and sharing useful market insights with AVY to help adapt our commercial approach.

Main Responsibilities

In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Develop AVY's commercial presence in German-speaking Switzerland among HORECA professionals and specialist retailers.
  • Identify, qualify and approach new high-potential accounts, in line with AVY's positioning and priorities.
  • Build and maintain lasting relationships with restaurateurs, hoteliers, wine merchants, specialist retailers and other commercial partners.
  • Understand each customer's needs, positioning and constraints in order to propose relevant and adapted assortments.
  • Present AVY wines with conviction, professionalism and a consultative approach, highlighting their origin, quality and resale potential.
  • Support customers in showcasing and reselling AVY wines, including through tastings, assortment advice, sales arguments and targeted actions.
  • Ensure rigorous commercial follow-up: offers, follow-ups, negotiations, orders, customer information and next steps.
  • Use the CRM and digital tools reliably to document opportunities, customer portfolio information and market insights.
  • Regularly share field observations: customer expectations, consumption trends, competition, pricing, objections and opportunities.
  • Work closely with the internal team to ensure a professional, consistent and reliable customer experience.

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, you are a field-oriented, autonomous, structured and results-driven person, with a genuine interest in the world of wine and in long-term commercial relationships.

Ideally, you bring the following profile:

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally in wine, beverages, hospitality, gastronomy, specialist retail or a related environment.
  • Good knowledge of the German-speaking Swiss market and, ideally, an existing network among HORECA professionals, wine merchants or specialist retailers.
  • Excellent command of German; a good ability to communicate in French is required to collaborate effectively with the internal team.
  • Confidence in prospecting, opening new accounts, developing a customer portfolio and managing long-term customer relationships.
  • Ability to understand a customer's positioning and propose an offer or assortment adapted to their context.
  • Strong advisory, listening and resale skills: you know how to help customers better present, recommend and promote products.
  • Solid personal organisation, with the ability to manage your time, travel and priorities independently.
  • Reliable use of digital tools, CRM and modern communication channels.
  • Entrepreneurial, pragmatic and proactive mindset, combined with the ability to work constructively in a small team.
  • A humble, positive and constructive personality, aligned with AVY's cooperative spirit, values and attachment to its terroir.

  • Languages: German required; French necessary to collaborate with the internal team.
  • Driving licence: required.
